Mean Girls Production

The Amsterdam High School Drama Club completed its spring musical production of Mean Girls: High School Version with three performances held in the AHS Auditorium over the weekend.

The musical, based on the 2004 film, followed the story of Cady Heron as she navigates the social dynamics of her new high school and encounters a popular clique known as The Plastics. Student performers brought the characters and storyline to life through acting, singing and choreography.

A highlight of the production was the inclusion of a live student pit ensemble. The student musicians provided musical accompaniment throughout the performances, supporting the cast and contributing to the overall theatrical experience.

The production also involved a team of students and advisors working behind the scenes in areas such as stage management, set design, lighting and sound.

District officials thanked the students, staff, families and community members who attended the performances and supported the production.
