The award was established to inspire and motivate staff members who exceed position requirements to improve educational outcomes. Honorees included Heather Davis and Lena Tizio, keyboard specialists at McNulty Elementary; Eric Duemler, physical education teacher at Barkley Elementary; Yohelis Rivera-Ortiz, teacher aide at Marie Curie Elementary; Emily Panton, teacher assistant at Tecler Elementary; Tatiana Billinton, teacher assistant at Lynch Literacy Academy; Eric Weber, hall monitor at Lynch Literacy Academy; Leslie Rogers, instructional coach at Lynch Literacy Academy; Giny Morse-Coons, English language arts teacher at Lynch Literacy Academy; Nicole Georgelas, math teacher at Amsterdam High School; Carla Pasquarelli, athletic trainer at Amsterdam High School; and Katie Caselles, school psychologist at Tecler Elementary.

“These staff members demonstrate a strong commitment to our students and school community each day,” said Superintendent Richard Ruberti. “Their work supports student growth and helps strengthen learning opportunities across the district.”

The district continues to recognize employees through the ABC Award program as part of its effort to promote high performance and student success.
