Members of the MCJROTC program at Amsterdam High School volunteered their time on March 28 to support a concert held at the Amsterdam Elks Club.
During the evening event, cadets assisted with a variety of responsibilities, including serving as escorts, helping with food service, and supporting event setup and teardown.
Cadets were recognized by event organizers and attendees for their professionalism, respectful conduct and strong interpersonal skills throughout the evening.
The group was led by Cadet Kimberly Maldonado and included Tajahn Bowman, Ethan Cable, John Malec, Yariel Maldonado, Noely Pena, Alessa Rivera, Kearuh Skinner and Lilith Zea.
The volunteer effort reflects the MCJROTC program’s emphasis on leadership, responsibility and citizenship through community service.
