Seniors across the Greater Amsterdam School District marked an important milestone as they participated in Decision Day, a celebration recognizing students’ plans after graduation.
Students were encouraged to wear shirts representing their next steps, including college, trade school, military service, entry into the workforce, or other future pursuits they are excited to begin.
Throughout the day, seniors visited the Guidance Office to share their plans with staff and reflect on their accomplishments. Students also received a small prize in recognition of their achievements and the transition ahead.
District officials said Decision Day provides an opportunity to celebrate the diverse pathways students choose after high school while highlighting the hard work and planning that goes into preparing for life beyond graduation.
