The Greater Amsterdam School District has posted its proposed 2026-27 District-Wide School Safety Plan for the required 30-day public review and comment period in accordance with New York State Education Law.
The District-Wide School Safety Plan is designed to support the safety and well-being of students, staff and visitors while outlining districtwide prevention, response and emergency management procedures.
Community members may review the proposed plan on the district website during the public comment period. Following the required review period, the Board of Education is expected to consider adoption of the plan at a future board meeting.
“We remain committed to maintaining safe and supportive learning environments across our schools,” Superintendent Richard Ruberti said. “The public review process is an important part of ensuring transparency and giving our families and community members the opportunity to stay informed.”
The district encourages residents, parents and staff members to review the proposed plan and provide feedback during the public comment period.
