The Greater Amsterdam School District is helping ensure local children have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer by offering free daily lunch meals for children under 18.
The summer meal pickup program will be available Monday through Friday from July 6 through Aug. 14 at Veterans Park, located at 161 Locust Ave. in Amsterdam. Meals may be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The program is open to all children under the age of 18. Families interested in participating must register their child using the QR code provided on the program flyer.
The summer meal program is designed to help families maintain access to healthy meals while school is not in session and is part of an ongoing effort to support the well-being of students and the broader community.
Families are encouraged to register early and take advantage of this free resource throughout the summer months.
