Amsterdam High School senior Aundray Fowler has been named the 2026 Montgomery County Male Athlete of the Year, recognizing his accomplishments across multiple sports and his impact on Rams athletics throughout his high school career.
Fowler earned the honor following another standout year representing Amsterdam. A multi-sport athlete, he has consistently demonstrated leadership, dedication and success in competition while serving as a role model for younger student-athletes throughout the district.
Whether on the soccer field, basketball court or track, Fowler has established himself as one of the area’s top competitors. His performances, work ethic and commitment to his teammates have helped contribute to the success of multiple Rams programs and have earned the respect of coaches, opponents and the community.
“This recognition reflects Aundray’s commitment to excellence and the effort he puts into everything he does,” said Athletic Director John Salls. “He has represented Amsterdam with pride throughout his career and has set a tremendous example for younger athletes.”
Fowler was one of six Amsterdam student-athletes recognized as Montgomery County Athlete of the Year nominees, highlighting the strength and success of Rams athletics throughout the year.

Dana Stanavich — A standout competitor who consistently represented Amsterdam with dedication, leadership and success throughout the year.
Avery Crain — Recognized for excellence in competition and a commitment to representing the Rams with pride both on and off the field.
Luis Tirado — An accomplished student-athlete whose work ethic, sportsmanship and contributions helped elevate Rams athletics.
Sadie Brodie — Honored for her athletic achievements, leadership and positive impact on her teammates and school community.
Mason Earley — Recognized for his dedication, competitive success and commitment to excellence as a Rams student-athlete.
Together, the six nominees demonstrated the talent, character and determination that define Amsterdam athletics. Their accomplishments throughout the year helped contribute to the continued success of Rams programs and served as an example for younger student-athletes across the district.
The Greater Amsterdam School District congratulates Fowler on being named Montgomery County Male Athlete of the Year and recognizes Dana Stanavich, Avery Crain, Luis Tirado, Sadie Brodie and Mason Earley for representing the very best of Rams Nation.
