Barkley Elementary School students in Pre-K through fifth grade recently showcased their creativity, curiosity and scientific thinking during the school’s annual Science Fair.
Students developed and presented a wide variety of projects, exploring topics through research, experimentation and hands-on investigation. Families were invited to attend the event, view the projects and vote for their favorites across several award categories.
Following the voting process, students were recognized for outstanding projects in seven categories:
Favorite Overall Project: Julia Fritz
Most Creative: Sandra Weaver
Best Presentation: Thea Butler
Most Interesting Experiment: Gordon Schaufelberg and Abigail Kent
Project That Taught Something New: Keegan McGee
Best Use of the Scientific Method: Mila and Valentino Merendo
Viewer’s Choice: Colton Lampkin
The Science Fair provided students with an opportunity to apply classroom learning, develop presentation skills and share their discoveries with the school community.
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in this year’s Science Fair. Their hard work, creativity and willingness to explore new ideas helped make the event a success. Barkley Elementary also extends its appreciation to the families who attended, voted and supported students throughout the process.
