The Junior Rugged Rams Flag Football season officially kicked off Saturday at Barkley Field, welcoming young athletes and their families for a day of football, fun and community.
Players took to the field for the first games of the season while families and friends gathered to cheer them on. In addition to the action on the field, attendees enjoyed a free water slide and refreshments, with Lorenzo’s providing water and tomato pie for all players.
The kickoff marked the beginning of another exciting season focused on developing football fundamentals, teamwork and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment.
Greater Amsterdam School District extends its gratitude to the dedicated volunteer board, the Amsterdam Rams Football program, the City of Amsterdam and everyone who helped organize and support the event. Their commitment continues to provide meaningful opportunities for young athletes to build confidence, develop new skills and foster a love for the game.
