The Greater Amsterdam School District is thanking Steet Toyota of Johnstown for donating backpacks to elementary students ahead of the 2026-27 school year.
The donation will help provide students with backpacks as they return to the classroom and prepare for another year of learning. The contribution continues Steet Toyota of Johnstown’s support of students and families throughout the Greater Amsterdam School District.
“Having community partners like Steet Toyota of Johnstown step forward to support our students makes a difference as we begin a new school year,” said Superintendent Richard Ruberti. “We are grateful for their continued support of our district and for helping ensure our students have the resources they need to come to school prepared and ready to learn.”
Steet Toyota of Johnstown has supported GASD students through previous community initiatives, including donations of winter clothing and other items for students and families.
Community partnerships such as these help the district connect students with resources that support them both in and outside the classroom.
