Members of the Amsterdam High School Select Chorus and JROTC joined district and building administrators, local officials, and community members Friday at Riverlink Park for the annual 9/11 remembrance ceremony.
Students participated in the ceremony through musical performances, the presentation of the flags and other traditions recognizing the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
The annual event brings together members of the Amsterdam community to reflect on the events of 9/11 and recognize those who lost their lives.
The Greater Amsterdam School District is proud of its students for representing Amsterdam High School and continuing to take part in this community tradition of remembrance.
