Tree Unit

Students in Mrs. Riley’s prekindergarten class at Tecler Elementary School are discovering the wonders of nature through a hands-on learning unit focused on trees.

Throughout the unit, students are exploring different types of trees, what grows on them and the animals that depend on trees for shelter and food. The young learners are also putting their creativity to work by making their own trees, reinforcing what they have learned through engaging classroom activities.

The unit provides students with an opportunity to develop their curiosity, creativity, and understanding of the natural world while building foundational science skills.

Through hands-on exploration and creative learning, Mrs. Riley’s students are discovering just how important trees are to the world around them.
