Amsterdam Wrestlers Win Section 2 Division I Class 2 Titles
Two Amsterdam High School wrestlers won individual championships at the Section 2 Division I Class 2 Wrestling Championships.
Carlos Rivera-Russe and Mason Earley each earned titles after advancing through their respective brackets. Their wins secured sectional championships and represented Amsterdam boys wrestling at the Division I level.

$75 per person
$125 per couple
Guests will experience an evening of live entertainment, dancing, and a silent auction, all in support of after-prom programming. Attendees are encouraged to dress to impress in glamorous, red-carpet-ready prom attire.
Proceeds from this event help fund After-Prom programs for students from Amsterdam, Fonda-Fultonville, Canajoharie, and Fort Plain High Schools, creating safe and memorable end-of-year experiences. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit after-ball activities for this year’s senior class.
Tickets are available through any Amsterdam Rotarian.

From start to finish, the Rams delivered big performances and statement wins on their way to an undefeated league run.

Marching Into the Holiday Spirit! Last month, the Amsterdam Marching Rams were excited to return to our community parade after missing the year before while competing in Massachusetts — where they proudly took first place in the America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Parade in Plymouth, MA! Please come see AHS Drama Club’s production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. This holiday classic is based on Charles Dickens' novella. It recounts the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley, along with the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. It is a fantastic way to kick off the Holiday Season as we see Scrooge transform into a new man, learning the meaning of Christmas, and ultimately the joy of humanity and peace on earth.

Our sixth graders at LLA shared their thoughts on fairness and justice in the JUST LAW Writing and Art Contest, sponsored by the NYS Unified Court System and Judge Kris Singh! After learning about the legal system this fall, students submitted essays and artwork exploring what justice means to them. Big congratulations to our winners: Rhayna Arndt (first place), Brody Dodd (second place), and Dylan Schafer (third place)! We’re proud to celebrate AHS seniors DeReon Greene and Matthew Young, the 2025 recipients of the Amsterdam Rotary Club’s “Service Above Self” Scholarship! DeReon, a first-generation college student, excelled in sports, robotics, and leadership, and will study Cybersecurity at FMCC.
