Dear GASD Families and Community,
This is a reminder that Greater Amsterdam School District residents will vote tomorrow, Tuesday, May 19, on the proposed 2026-27 school budget and several district propositions. Polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m.
The proposed $111,956,616 budget maintains a 0% tax levy increase while continuing to support student programs, services, safety improvements and districtwide investments.
Residents will also vote on:
A $12 million capital project focused on improving student spaces, enhancing athletic facilities, and addressing long-standing infrastructure needs.
A technology capital reserve proposition
A proposition regarding approximately 44 acres of district-owned property near Mary Curie Elementary along Widow Susan Road
A public library funding proposition
Board of Education candidates
